7 April - Opening concert
The London based Reigate Wind quintet and pianist Erik Azzopardi, will kick-off the 9th edition of the festival performing works by Mozart, Barber, Poulenc and as well as the winning work for piano sextet of our composition competition.
8 April - Recital
Violin and piano recital, program and soloists to be confirmed shortly
9 April - Rediscovering Schoenberg
French Soprano Brigitte Peyré will be teaming up with conductor Raoul Lay and the Ensemble Télémaque to give us a rendition of Schoenberg's orchestration of Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer, and Busoni’s Notturno, not to mention Pierrot Lunaire.
10 April - Masterpieces for 2 Pianos
The two-piano duo Roland Conil and Véronique Muzy are a household name in the southern region of France. Tonight they shall be interpreting late 19th century and 20th century works by Brahms, Debussy and Lutoslawski.
11 April - Closing concert
The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will close this year's edition of the festival with a concert featuring the premier of Karl Fiorini's Symphony no.1 and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade suite under the baton of Roberto Beltrán Zavala.
Daily - Rising stars concert series
The Rising stars concert series, is dedicated to under-18 local musicians of exceptional talent. Each concert showcases two young soloists who are budding musicians in their own right to inpsire confidence and new performing opportunies.
