Call for ushers

Toi Toi is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals with a flexible schedule to join the team as ushers for the upcoming season 2020-2021. We believe that the audience’s experience starts before the performance begins and ushers play a huge role in ensuring that their visit to our theatre is a positive and educational one.
Duties will include:
· Arriving at the theatre 45 minutes before the start of the show.
· Welcoming the audience and leading them into the space as advised.
· Supervising the performance, making sure that while children interact at the right moments, the performance is not disrupted.
· Playing an active role in the performance to encourage audience participation, where required.
· Seeing the audience out of the theatre.
· Gathering feedback from the audience.
· Checking and selling any available tickets at the door, should they be available.
· Providing a monthly invoice to receive payment.
