VACANCY: HR & Administration Manager
 
Duties:
  • Maintaining and updating policies and procedures of the company. This is especially necessary for the employee handbook;
  • Capacity to create strategies that ensures employee benefits and contractual obligations;
  • Taking on a performance management role and monitor and review the work of the employees;
  • Liaising with department managers in order to set key performance indicators;
  • Closely monitor strategies to ensure implementation and strengthen performance at work;
  • Create a supportive environment by coordinating motivational initiates for social and team-building events;
  • Keep employees informed of all the policies and procedures of the company through strong communication skills;
  • Managing of all recruitment requirements and reviewing of human resource requirements;
  • Dealing with Grievances and Disciplinary action;
  • Taking care of the payroll of the Company;
  • Dealing with Unions;
  • Apply and utilise EU funding processes in order to invest in training that can be provided to Teatru Manoel employees;
  • Dealing with People and Standards Division;
  • Conduct yearly performance appraisals for all Teatru Manoel Employees;
  • Establishing employees training needs and keeping records of employee training;
  • Establishing and maintaining of training budget in liaison with Finance and CEO;
  • Recommend any changes in organigram to fit with prevailing scenarios;
  • Other administrative duties as may be determined by the CEO.
 
Qualifications and experience
  • In possession of a pertinent post-graduate degree (Masters’) in HR, Management, Public Policy or Business Administration, or an appropriate, recognised, comparable qualification plus two (2) years relevant work experience
OR
  • In possession of a pertinent first degree at MQF Level 6 in HR, Management, Public Policy or Business Administration plus four (4) years relevant work experience;
OR 
  • Public Scale not below Scale 10 with seven (7) years relevant work experience;
  • Work and experience in EU Funding will be considered as an asset;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Pro-active and able to work on own initiative;
  • Strong Maltese and English language skills;
  • Knowledge of the cultural field;
  • Knowledge of the Employment and Industrial Relations Law;
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
