Speak No Evil
Speak No Evil, TMYT Showcase (2019) incorporated devised scenes, songs, monologues written by individual actors, and a number of found texts, used either in their original form or edited to make them appropriate to the narrative. Most importantly, the piece was developed by the ensemble, and reflected the concerns, pre-occupations and anxieties of all those involved in its creation. Covering subjects including detention centres, political cover-ups, freedom of the press and sexual abuse, this hard-hitting narrative was conveyed fearlessly and unapologetically.
Publico
A Toi Toi commissioned work about the history of Teatru Manoel, a project supported by Valletta Cultural Agency. The work itself was conceived as a TMYT project with The New Victorians, but due to the Pandemic, has been rescheduled as a Teatru Manoel production for April 2022. Eight members of 2019-2020 TMYT collaborated in the creation of this work.
