Boban Mirkovski was born 1991 in Skopje, R. Macedonia. He started off his education by attending the State Music School “ “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj”. Mirkovski Graduated in 2013 from the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje. His tutor and mentor was the well known Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski. He finished his master studies in 2015 in FMA Skopje under the tutorship of Prof. Aleksandar Serdar, from Serbia.
Mirkovski performed in numerous concerts in Macedonia and abroad and won many awards. Among the most important concerts are: Concert in Boskovice (2007), Czech Republic; concert in San Daniele, R. Italy (2007), concert in Washington DC, USA (2011). He also took part in many Simon Trpceski’s concerts, many solo concerts in Macedonia and also as a soloist in concerts with Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra (2011; 2012). He also was part of the most important FMA and State music school concerts.
Some of the awards he won are: 2 first places & LAUREATE at competition “ArsKosova” in Pristina, Kosovo (2006, 2007, 2008); 1st place at competition “Davorin Jenko” in Belgrade, Serbia (2009); 3rd place and award for most virtuous pianist at competition “Music & Earth” in Sofia, Bulgaria (2006, 2009); LAUREATE at competition “Makedonium M” in Skopje, Macedonia ect. Also, he won the award of foundation “Klimentina Rafajlovska” for best young artist in Macedonia (2009).
He attended many master classes with well known professors, such as: Zeni Zaharieva (Bulgaria), Jokut Mihajlovic (Serbia), Fulvio Turissini (Italy), Agathe Leimoni (Greece), Tomoka Kaishige (Japan), Boris Romanov (Macedonia) and others.
Currently he works as a piano professor at SMBEC “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj” Skopje and achieves many prestigious awards with his students.
